The Forensic Science Society are pleased to announce its Autumn Conference and AGM entitled Childrern and Crime: Victims or Villains, to be held on 12 - 14 November 2010 at Wyboston Lakes.
General topics include Mobile Phone Technology, Fire Investigation, Anthropology, Questioned Documents, Psychology, and DNA.
A sponsored session will be delivered by Dr Simon Wells from LGC on Rapid Intelligence from DNA at Crime Scenes.

Pilot Scheme in Competence
The Forensic Science Society in association with Professor Wesley Vernon and Mr Mike Allen are pleased to announce a one day event on Professional Standards in Forensic Podiatry incorporating the Certificate of Competence of Forensic Podiatrists, to be held on 24 September 2010 in Sheffield.
This is the first seminar and assessment centre of its type and is directly relevant to all individuals operating in the field of Forensic Podiatry who seek to demonstrate their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Competence as Practitioners.
The one day event is open for attendance at either the seminar only or seminar plus competence test. Those applying to undergo the competence test will be sent the pre-registration asessment criteria.
