MSc 'top-up' Scheme
Since 2010, in addition to being awarded the FSSocDip, the Postgraduate Diploma is awarded a PgDip (with 120 postgraduate credits (level 5)) by Strathclyde University and as a result, can now be used as part of a “top up” scheme, where candidates are required to attain another 60 postgraduate credits in order to be awarded an MSc.
Staffordshire University offer the scheme with an overview listed below:
- The programme allows you to add to your existing post-graduate Forensic Science Society Diploma and obtain a masters qualification in your subject specialism through the completion of a research project.
- The programme offers flexibility in its duration and methods of execution.
- You will be supervised by academic staff who have expertise in your subject specialism. You will also have access to equipment, laboratories and computing facilities within the university.
- The programme will provide you with the opportunity to study a topic of interest to you in considerable depth with the potential to publish the results in refereed journals.
