MSc 'top-up' Scheme

Since 2010, in addition to being awarded the FSSocDip, the Postgraduate Diploma is awarded a PgDip (with 120 postgraduate credits (level 5)) by Strathclyde University and as a result, can now be used as part of a “top up” scheme, where candidates are required to attain another 60 postgraduate credits in order to be awarded an MSc.

Staffordshire University offer the scheme with an overview listed below:

The programme allows you to add to your existing post-graduate Forensic Science Society Diploma and obtain a masters qualification in your subject specialism through the completion of a research project.
The programme offers flexibility in its duration and methods of execution.
You will be supervised by academic staff who have expertise in your subject specialism. You will also have access to equipment, laboratories and computing facilities within the university.
The programme will provide you with the opportunity to study a topic of interest to you in considerable depth with the potential to publish the results in refereed journals.
