least three to five years professional experience in their field of expertise
and who have a broad knowledge of their subject area. |
 Fire Investigation is
for candidates who can evidence appropriate professional experience in: Fire Investigation, Explosion Investigation. A
substantial proportion of the results of those investigations should arise
predominantly as a result of the candidate’s own work. |

is for candidates who have an awareness of factors which may yield evidence
relating to a document’s:  Identification, Modification, Authentication, Association.
Examples include indented impressions, sequence of strokes, staple
holes, adhesives, folds, tears, incidental marks etc. |

for candidates with knowledge of factors relating to false ID documents
including: Types, design, impact on
security, Sound working practices, Duties/expectations of expert witness, Specialisms/methodologies,

of equipment, capabilities/limitations etc. |
 Firearms Examination is for candidates who have an appreciation from initial observations as to what examinations and tests can be carried out and of their potential value within the context of a case. A substantial proportion of the results of those investigations should arise predominantly as a result of the candidate’s own work.
