FSSoc Staff
The Forensic Science Society is a registered charity, which is managed by six office staff and twelve members of council.
FSSoc Council
Council Members are members of the society and professionals working in the field of forensic science or related fields, who have volunteered to serve on the council and have been elected on to council by the FSSoc members during an AGM.
The FSSoc is led by the FSSoc President, who is supported by FSSoc officers (i.e. vice president, honorary secretary, honorary treasurer and honorary editor), who have very specified roles and ordinary council members, who have various roles, such as chairing and serving on committees, convening conferences, developing and reviewing FSSoc policies and liaising with external organisations. The structure of the FSSoc council is shown below.
The Structure of the Forensic Science Society Council 2011
Each member of council has an independent function and is typically engaged in many activities, such as chairing or sitting on committees, convening conferences, developing policy and collaborating with external companies. However, the council members all work as part of a close team to ensure that the aims, values and vision of the FSSoc are fulfilled and consequently customer satisfaction is ensured.
